The Goti de Fornasa drinking glass has a history as long as glass itself. Since ancient times, the master glassmaker kept water nearby to cool off and withstand the heat of the furnace while he was at work. To drink the water he did not use just any glass, but the glass he created for himself with the colour he preferred and with a shape that allowed him to hold it easily.
Created with the scraps of worked glass, very often they have millefiori or murrine decorations and are customised by the master by giving it strokes to shape it and make it unique.
Still today they colour the tables of the Venetians and are an object of fashion as well as an item of everyday use. These glasses are perfectly suited to both an antique or classic style, as much as to a modern table.
