Freelance Print Designer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Freelance Print designer in our head office of this fast growing luxury accessories brand. The print designer will be contributing to both the JANE CARR women's and men's collections.

This role would suit someone who has experience in a design studio and is looking to progress within an internationally-expanding, exciting and dynamic brand. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Educated to degree standard in Print design (for fashion textiles)
  • Passionate about fashion and trend-aware
  • Minimum of 2 years studio experience
  • Excellent research skills
  • Ability to develop initial concepts into finished print designs
  • In-depth knowledge of this market and relevant product areas is essential
  • The Successful candidate will have a through understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign programs.
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic

The candidate will be required to create and deliver outstanding layout, aesthetics across both men's and women's collections, working on e-commerce, website, newsletters and marketing material.

This role would suit someone who has experience in a design studio and is looking to progress within an internationally-expanding, exciting and dynamic brand.

  • Educated to degree standard in Graphic design (for fashion / Magazine layout design is preferred but not essential)
  • Passionate about fashion and trend-aware
  • Minimum of 2 years graphic design experience
  • Excellent research skills
  • The Successful candidate will have a through understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign programs and HTML.

Wholesale Department Assistant

JANE CARR is looking for a Wholesale Department Assistant based at our head office in London (NW1). 

The Wholesale Department Assistant will report to the Managing Director.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Communicating with clients and preparing their seasonal order paperwork.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Possible travel to attend international fashion trade fairs as the public face of the company
  • Contact with key wholesale accounts: department stores, large multi-brands and boutiques, analysing sell-through reports and current stock levels.
  • Preparing letters, presentations and reports.
  • Arranging sales appointments.
  • Database admin.
  • Elementary website updates.

Essential skills:

  • Highly effective communications skills, both verbal and written to a high standard as well as strong organisational and numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • 2 years minimum experience required.
  • Excellent English language skills both verbal and written.
  • Competent computer administrative skills (Office, Internet and general software knowledge).
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and the capability to prioritise and work on your own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude with an adaptable approach to work.
  • Tact and discretion for dealing with confidential information.

Salary dependent on experience.
